Buck Adams - USMC Veteran, Veterans to Farmers Founder
Buck’s family ranched in Texas, and later moved to Arkansas to farm and raise chickens, establishing early on his love and appreciation for farming. In 1989, Adams answered his countries call like many young men and joined the U.S. Marines. Buck was proud to serve his country and even more proud to do it as Marine.
Upon returning to civilian life and later feeling the pull of his agricultural roots, Buck helped to established Circle Fresh Farms in 2009. His hard work paid off when he turn 12,000 square feet of greenhouse into five acres within three years. Circle Fresh Farms went on to become the largest organic greenhouse grower in Colorado at that time. In 2011, he made it a company initiative to train and hire fellow veterans, he understood the impact it could have and quickly learned that the need was much greater than originally anticipated. As a result, the idea to form the non-profit Veterans to Farmers was born and the mission began.
** In 2017 Buck Adams stepped down and entrusted the future of Veterans to Farmers to Founding Member and fellow veteran Richard Murphy and the VTF board. Veterans to Farmers plans to continue to honor Bucks dedication and contribution to the veteran community by carrying the mission he started forward.
