Sally Herbert - Air Force Veteran & Board Member

Sally Herbert is one of two founding members of Altius Farms, Inc. Sally returned to Colorado after 25 years on the East Coast as a global executive in supply chain, retail and consumer packaged goods. Most recently, she was President and CEO within GS1, the largest supply chain standards organization in the world. GS1’s UPC Barcodes, EPCglobal RFID, GDSN product item data synchronization, EDI, traceability, sustainability, packaging, data quality, and product classification standards have created efficiencies and improvements in the world’s supply chain for over 40 years.

Sally has a demonstrated track record of leadership balancing technology development, customer service and marketing within U.S. and international markets. She has successfully formulated strategies for business growth, cost reduction, while serving the needs of a global, varied retail and manufacturing customer base. Before joining GS1, Sally held COO and senior leadership roles with the Worldwide Retail Exchange, IBM, and MCI Worldcom. Sally served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve for over 13 years to include service during Desert Shield and Desert Storm Gulf War operations.

Sally has a passion for shifting the local food scene in Colorado through community education and delivery of high quality, non-GMO, pesticide free leafy greens and herbs. Providing job training and employment for our nation’s veterans is a key part of Sally’s envisioned legacy.

Sally serves on the Board of Executive Connect/Connect Denver Foundation, and is a board member of the Denver Southeast Evenings Rotary Club. Sally has two grown daughters, and she enjoys crossfit, cycling and hiking.
